Uíge – A donation comprising goods such as computers, mattresses, wheelchairs, typing paper and others, were offered by the Lwini Solidarity Fund (Fundo Lwini) to the orthopaedic centres of Negage, in northern Uíge province, Angop learned.
The chairwoman of the Lwini Fund managing board, Joana Lina Ramos Baptista, who delivered the donation, praised the work carried out by the centre concerning to the treatment and improvement of living conditions of disabled people.
“Our mission is to assist disabled persons and landmines’ victims. For that reason, we have the duty of recruiting everyone in order that people contribute to resolve some problems faced by the centre”, he stressed.
He also spoke of the need for others partners and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOS) to help with addressing the problems faced by many families in the country.
In his turn, the director of the Orthopaedic centre in Negage, Amaral Justino Domingos, thanked the initiative, adding that it shows a spirit of solidarity and development of the society.
