Women defend wider publicity of Femidom

Luanda - Women from various walks of society defended Friday in Luanda a wider publicity and advertising about the importance of the female condom (Femidom).

During a survey carried out by Angop with some institutions, it was found that women complain of little information on the media and health institutions on the importance and benefits of using Femidom.

To teacher Ruth Costa, little information about Femidom is responsible for the spread of many sexual diseases and rise in the number of unwanted pregnancies.

According to her, if women were aware of the existence of femidom, their would be more prepared and would not just rely on the male condoms partners often refuse on wear.

In order to address the lack of information, the source added, the health authorities and media organs should carry out an intense campaign of publicity in favour of femidom.
