Pharmacies with low demand for female condoms

Luanda - Pharmacies in Luanda are recording a low demand for female condoms (Femidom), which has led to a poor supply from outlets, Angop has learnt.

There are reports from some Luanda pharmacies that of the people who buy condoms, many are unaware of the existence of Femidon, while others consider it uncomfortable for woman.

Elsa Muaco, a pharmacist, said that in addition to women discomfort claim, male condom is the most sought for.

Out of ten people of both sexes, only two girls buy condoms, which explains the low demand for Femidon, she said.

Pharmacist Guilhermina José said that women just don’t show interest for female condoms.
