Luanda – The 2nd National Meeting on Demining will be held on Thursday, at the Conference Hall of the General Headquarters of the Army Staff, reveals a press release of the Ministry of Assistance and Social Welfare, which was delivered to ANGOP on Tuesday.

The one-day event will analyse the results of the demining operation for the 2006-2008 term, and plan new actions to guarantee the implementation of tasks contained in the socio-economic development plan of the government.

According to the communiqué, the meeting shall be presided over by the minister of Assistance and Social Welfare and co-ordinator of the Executive Demining Commission, João Baptista Kussumua.

Members of the Executive Demining Commission and of the Central Operational Group, commanders of military regions, heads of provincial department of the National Demining Institute, among other invited guests, will attended the gathering.
