Luanda - The state-owned Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) is to divulge on Thursday an interview with the German ambassador to Angola, Bernd Morast, in which the diplomat speaks about the state of the co-operation with this African country and its future, ANGOP has learnt.
During the interview, Bernd Morast speaks of the economic relations and the role the two countries can play to overcome the challenges of the current world economic crisis.
The diplomat also highlights the importance of strengthening the cultural relationship, as well as ways the strategies to materialise it, so that both peoples can be closer.
Ambassador Bernd Morast also made a historical account about the bilateral relations that date back from 1995, as well as referred to his country's participation in the demining process in Angola.
He mentioned the importance of the co-operation in the social area, but added that in the future a big step will be taken towards actions in the areas of professional training and upgrading, as well as the increase in the number of German firms in Angola.
The diplomat will also talk about the meaning of the start of air link between Luanda and Frankfurt.
The expectations of the visit to Germany of the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, and the motivations of the German community are also mentioned in the interview.
