British NGO removes 948 explosive devices in six months

Luena – The British Non-Governmental Organization Mines Advisory Group (MAG) have removed at least 948 explosive devices in the past six months, Angop learnt on Saturday from its programmes official, Sabrina Brett.

From this number 90 are personnel landmines, 21 are antitank landmines and 837 are different explosive devices.

These explosive devices were removed at Cassamba commune, Luchazes municipality and in the localities of Muxirindjinge.

According to the official those explosives are to be destroyed by specialized experts.

The NGO also held awareness campaigns to 1,412 peoples about the risk of landmines in the municipalities of Camanongue, Lumbala-Caquengue (Alto-Zambeze) special to children.
