Alongside his participation at the swearing in, the Angolan head of State will hold contact with various personalities in South Africa, to discuss issues concerning the reinforcement of cooperation.
The situation prevailing in the continent is believed to be in the centre of the meeting the Angolan head of State will hold with the president of the African Union, Muammar al Kadhafi.
He is expected to meet as well with the presidents of Mozambique, Zambia and Tanzania.
The trip of José Eduardo dos Santos to South Africa follows an invitation from that country’s authorities for the purpose of the swearing in of Jacob Zuma.
