Luanda – The former provincial secretary of UNITA in Kuando Kubango Province, who was also a member of this party’s Permanent Committee, Daniel Kassela Nhama Tchikuve, announced that he is leaving the organisation due to incompatible ideas.
In a resignation statement released Wednesday, in Luanda, Daniel Tchikuve, also known as "Liberdade," said that after careful consideration, he came to the conclusion that he no longer identifies himself with the actions and manipulations of UNITA leadership, therefore "I thought of stopping my activism in that party for good".
Daniel Tchikuve said that he has measured up the contempt with which many party members are treated, including ex-soldiers,
widows and war orphans scattered throughout the country, as well as the misrepresentation of the Muangai Project by the current leadership of UNITA, and took the decision to leave this organisation.
"The story that the general election of 2012 were marked by fraud is manipulation, it does not correspond to the truth," stressed the former UNITA official, recalling that "it was so in 1992, in 2008 and, unfortunately, the same story repeats itself in 2012."
