Luanda – The Head of State of Egypt, Mohamed Morsy, congratulated the Angolan President Elect José Eduardo dos Santos on his victory in the August 31 general elections.

This information can be read on a press note from the Egyptian embassy in Angola released to Angop on Wednesday.

“I am  confident  that  your  wise  leadership will continue to provide  an  immense  contribution  towards realizing  the aspirations of the brotherly people of Angola and African Continent”., reads the message.

The Egyptian statesman wishes his Angolan counterpart all the best of success in carrying out his new assignments, and his brotherly people evermore progress and prosperity.

Currently, Egypt and Angola have good diplomatic relations, whose cooperation ties were signed in the most difficult moments, during the struggle for the liberation against the Portuguese colonial regime.
