Luanda – The Broad Convergence for Angola’s Salvation – Electoral Coalition (CASA-CE) will hold its first extraordinary congress from April 2-4 next year, Angop learned Monday in Luanda from a note.
According to the source, CASA-CE gathered, discussed and approved the preparatory commissions that will review the statutes to transform the convergence into a political party and other procedures.
The note also states that the meeting appointed a commission that will in the five coming months make the arrangements for CASA-CE to participate in the local power elections of next year.
The political organisation has also decided to hold a deliberating session in February 2013, to assess the work of the commissions tasked with preparing the congress.
On the other hand, CASA-CE thanked all voting citizens and the Angolan people in general for the responsible and mature way they have been following the country’s political developments, which was showed during the process that led to the general election of August 31.
CASA-CE contested the election for the first time, having become the third political party with eight parliament seats.
