Luanda - The bishop of the United Methodist Church, Gaspar Domingos, Thursday in Launda appealed to the political parties and coalitions that contested the elections of 31 August to respect the decision of the Constitutional Court.
Speaking to ANGOP on the Constitutional Court's ruling, the religious leader said that with determination of the election results no party may appeal more because all complaints and proof filed by the referred political organisations have been evaluated.
He said that the Court is a body responsible for the final decisions. So now it is time the institutions to move forward and take their respective seats for the country's progress.
As for the opposition political parties, the Bishop Gaspar Domingos said that it is time to review and improve the programmes and wait for the next few years they gain trust from the people.
For this reason, the church authority appealed to opposition parties to work towards development of programmes capable to convince the voters in the coming election, stated for 2017.
According to Constitutional Court ruling on Wednesday, the results of the elections held on 31 August were fair and credible.
The Constitutional Court ordered the inauguration of the President-elect, Vice President and MPs of the National Assembly.
