Luanda – Information about the initial phase of the electoral process, especially the candidatures of political parties and coalitions, dominated Thursday in Luanda the meeting with the counsellor-judge of the Constitutional Court, Caetano de Sousa, and two experts in election issues from the European Union (EU).
At the end of a meeting held in that institution, Caetano de Sousa stressed to the press that he explained to the two experts of the EU, namely Sílvia Norte and Cristina Alves, the activities of the Constitutional Court related to parties and coalitions, as well as procedures adopted for acceptance or not of the candidatures.
The official said that such visits are normal and contribute to the credibility of the process.
Caetano de Sousa told reporters that after the election on August 31, follows the stage of vote count, first at the provincial level and then nationally, explaining that the Constitutional Court, being a passive organ, should intervene only if complaints are made.
