Cabinda – The Angolan Government has been doing everything to fulfil the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding for Peace and Reconciliation in Cabinda Province (Angola’s northern enclave), said Wednesday in this city the interim governor of the province, Aldina Matilde Barros da Lomba.
The official spoke at the ceremony of the 6th anniversaryof the Memorandum of Understanding for Peace and Reconciliation in Cabinda Province, signed on August 1 of 2006, in Namibe Province by the Government of Angola and Cabinda Forum for Dialogue.
According to Aldina da Lomba, the government has been guaranteeing development for the region and improving significantly the living conditions of its citizens.
As regards the social and productive reintegration of demobilized soldiers, refugees and displaced Angolans, the official said safe steps are being taken and soon the plan will be fulfilled.
On the other hand, the acting governor honoured also all Angolans that have fought for peace and development of the country.
