Country's development requires effective security

 


Huambo  – The deputy commander-general of the National Police, chief commissioner Paulo Gaspar de Almeida, said in central Huambo province that the country’s
development requires an effective public security.


 
Paulo de Almeida was speaking to parading officers of the organs of security, as part of the preparations for the operation of protection to the election of August 31 this year in Angola.

 

According to him, the work carried out by the forces of security is part of the system of development of the country, alike the construction of roads, houses, supply of electricity and others conducted by the Government.


He also said the election represents a political and historical feast for the country.


 “We are going to consolidate our democracy and our conquests. The elections are like any popular feast and have to be well protected and secured. We have to give guarantees to the populations for them to vote freely and participate in this act in which we are present and will secure with determination,” he stressed.


Commissioner Paulo de Almeida appealed to the officers to observe the norms and principles in order to perform well their duties.


He warned that those who break the law will be held responsible, adding that the political parties and their leaders should be treated equally.
