Luanda - Angola's Media minister , Carolina Cerqueira, Saturday in Luanda called on journalists of the Catholic Church-owned broadcasting radio station "Eclesia", to convey messages which do not undermine the human dignity, the sacred value of life and respect for freedom of the citizens.

 
The government minister made the appeal at the closing ceremony of a training course on election coverage designed for the journalists of that private radio station, held between 27 and 28 July.

The event gathered professionals from all country's provinces.

 
"I wish you as journalists in possession of key tools to play the role of appeasing the spirits and tranquillity so that the Angolans can consciously and with freedom make their choice of those who will lead the destinies of the country," she stressed.

 
The participants discussed topics concerning law and journalist coverage.

The event also analysed the deontology and ethic in elections coverage, the 2012 electoral strategy, experiences in elections in Angola and the source of information.

Catholic Church mission and editorial profile of Eclesia radio and 2012 technical electoral strategy were also among the matters analysed by the professionals.
