Luanda – The National Electoral Commission (CNE), announced Thursday, in Luanda, that it concluded that there is the lack of human, material and logistic conditions for voting abroad, which could undermine the participation of Angolans in the diaspora in the August 31 general elections.
The information was presented by the spokeswoman of the institution, Júlia Ferreira, while speaking to the press at the end of the 13th plenary session in Talatona Convention Centre, led by the chairman of CNE, André Silva Neto.
According to the official, at the meeting it was approved a memorandum about voting abroad, a document which makes a research about the real conditions which CNE currently has for the implementation of the voting process abroad.
In view of this, he said that the plenary voted unanimously towards not organising the voting process outside the country due to lack of conditions.
