Election body meets diplomatic corps Wednesday

Luanda - The National Electoral Commission (CNE) will hold on Wednesday morning, in Talatona Convention Centre, south of Luanda, an informative meeting with the diplomatic corps accredited in Angola.


 
According to a note issued by the institution which reached Angop Tuesday, it aims to stimulate the spirit of dialogue and exchange on the role of the CNE and other election officials on the basis of electoral legislation.


 
With this activity which will involve the participation of entities of the diplomatic corps and foreign minister, Georges Rebelo Chikoti, aims to create a clear and better understanding of the tasks before, during and after the election, says the document.


 
He adds that it wishes to establish with precision and accuracy, the area of intervention of election within the principles established by law for general elections under the slogan: "Vote! For Peace and Democracy. "


 
"The programme contents are supported by the Electoral Legislative Package," the note concluded.
