Harare - The Angolan Embassy in Zimbabwe, in its capacity as chairman
of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) countries, hosted
Thursday in Harare, a farewell dinner to the ambassadors of Mozambique
to Zimbabwe, Vicente Veloso.
On the occasion, the Charge d'Affaires of the Diplomatic Mission of Angola
to Zimbabwe, Adviser Manuel Vaz Borja, who was speaking on behalf of
ambassador Pedro Hendrik Vaal Neto, who is abroad, praised the honoured,
underlining the strong ties of friendship that bind the two nations.
In his turn, the ambassador Vicente Veloso thanked the Angolan Embassy
for the tribute and encouraged the various African diplomats present at the
dinner to remain united in defence of the interests of the continent by
helping Zimbabweans find the best path for a better future.
Attended the event, in addition to the Charge d'Affaires of the Diplomatic
Mission of Angola to Zimbabwe and the outgoing ambassador of
Mozambique, ambassadors of South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania,
Malawi and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
A senior official of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe also attended the
farewell dinner.
