Luanda – The Minister of the National Defence, Cândido Pereira Van-Dúnem, exhorted on Friday in Cabo Ledo locality in the northern Bengo province the militaries of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) to behave orderly and civilly during 2012 general elections, set for August 31.

The minister said so when addressing the military parade aimed to pay homage to all staff of FAA and Angolan National Police integrated in the Mission of Angola in Guinea Bissau (Missang).
 

“I beg you all to accomplish your duties with dedication, responsibility and professionalism, seeking to meet today’s objectives and challenges of the future, with redoubled readiness”, says the minister.

Cândido Van-Dúnem augurs that militaries go back to their units and families a new and huge experiences learnt during the international mission.

He praised the pilots and staff of the Angolan National Air Forces for its efforts to bring back the personnel of FAA and police.
 

The effectives of Missang, numbering 249, were in Guinea Bissau since March 2011, under a protocol signed between the Defence ministries of both countries.

The mission was stopped by the Angolan government following the political-military crisis in that country, created by the military of that country.

The Angolan government spent over 10 million US dollars in that mission.
