Luanda - Angolan Media minister, Carolina Cerqueira, Saturday in Luanda congratulated the staff of the sector who with zeal and dedication perform the mission of organising and coordinating the implementation of the national policy in the field of information and communication.

In a congratulation message on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of creation of Social Communication Ministry, celebrated on 16 June, the minister says that the sector in Angola should continue promoting peace, reconciliation and national unity.

"In August the country will hold, once again, an extremely important act of the consolidation of its young democracy - the general elections", reads the message.

In this context, the official stresses that the board management of the Ministry will hold a series of training actions focussed on coverage of polls.

The training will cover professionals of State and private-owned media organs in the country.
