Armed Forces lash out at intervention of political parties in paying of demobilized soldiers

Luanda - The General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) disclosed that officials of the opposition UNITA, CASA-CE and Bloco Democratico parties Thursday instigated disobedience among the former soldiers during the administrative organisational process for paying allowances.

According to a press note from the FAA General Staff, delivered Saturday to Angop, the referred political leaders entered the regiment facilities without proper authorization from the Chief of General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces.

The source would not reveal the names of the referred officials.

In the face of the violation of the rules of military security and the law, the Command of the Transmissions Barrack of the Army has reacted calmly and ordered out the officials of UNITA, CASA-CE and Bloco Democratico.

The General Staff reiterates its commitment to resolution of paying the allowances to demobilized soldiers, under the deliberation of the Angolan government.
