Harare - The secretary general of ruling MPLA party in Angola, Julião Mateus Paulo "Dino Matrosse", urged for the need to maintain the solidarity among the different actors of African politics.
The MPLA official said this Friday in Harare, Zimbabwe, while assessing the current situation in Angola at the meeting of the leaders of former liberation movements.
Recalling the times of struggle against colonialism, Dino Matrosse emphasized that the solidarity among different groups that fought for independence of their respective countries was fundamental for the success of the struggle.
The MPLA official mentioned the warm welcome the brother ZANU-PF, the ruling party in Zimbabwe, extended to the delegations in Harare.
Julião Mateus Paulo, who was speaking on behalf of his party’s Board management, considered important that this solidarity remains active among the different groups in order to overcome specific difficulties.
Attended the meeting, in addition to MPLA, ZANU (Zimbabwe), ANC (South Africa), FRELIMO (Mozambique), SWAPO (Namibia) and AAT (Tanzania).
Julião Mateus Paulo led the delegation integrated by officials of the ruling party's women and youth wings, respectively (OMA) and (JMPLA).
