Europeans urged to pay greater attention to African countries

Luanda – The president of opposition UNITA party, Isaías Samakuva, called this Friday in Luanda for the EU member states to pay greater political attention to African nations, and thus develop the countries and economies of Africa.

 

The politician said so to Angop at Luanda’s “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport moments after his arrival in the country from a tour in US, Ireland and England from 20 April to 4 May. 


 
According to him, during his meeting with officials, politicians and members of the civil society in Ireland and England, he had the chance to discuss with the referred entities respective matters, presenting ideas, proposals and some ways of implementing cooperation with Africa, as well as financing projects in the continent. 


 
The president of UNITA also appealed the EU countries to monitor the political and electoral processes of Africa so as to prevent internal political and military conflicts in African nations. 


 
The politician was received at Luanda’s “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport by various militants and officials of his party.
