Luanda - The programme of key measures of the social sector to be implemented in 2012 was assessed on Wednesday at a meeting of the Social Policy Commission of the Angolan Government.
The press release from the meeting held in the Cidade Alta in and chaired by the deputy president, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, does not advance details of the main measures for the sector this year.
The note also indicates that it has analysed the draft presidential decree establishing and adopting the rules of the National Festival of Culture (FENACULT 2012) and decided to refer this bill to the Council of Ministers for consideration and subsequent approval by the chief of the Executive power.
It was further examined the schedule of sessions of the Committee on Social Policy.
The first regular meeting of the commission was attended by the State minister and Chief of Civil House of the Presidency, Carlos Maria Feijo, who shall assist the vice-president and the secretary for Social Affairs of the President, Rosa Pacavira.
Still present were the ministers of Education, Health, Higher Education, Science and Technology, Youth and Sports, Culture, and Family and Women Promotion.
The Ministries of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland and Social Welfare were represented by deputy ministers.
At the last meeting, the first extraordinary session, occurred last January 20, the commission had been working on the preparation of the 2012 academic year, distribution of educational materials and school lunches.
