New York - The Consul General of Angola in New York, Adao Pinto, held a working meeting with the Angolan community in Philadelphia, that was attended by the president of the Association Daniel Zenga and other members, including former combatants of the homeland,
The meeting held at the weekend, by the Consulate aimed to elucidate the Angolan community that they can repossess the Angolan documentation, to safeguard the right of citizenship.
On the occasion, the Consul Adao Pinto thanked the presence of all members of the community in Philadelphia and at the time said that it was special to the Consulate of Angola in New York, the link with the past history of Angola, since many of members participated in the National Liberation Struggle.
Even in his speech, Adao Pinto warned of the need to obtain documentation from the Angolan community in order to avoid loss of Angolan nationality, which in turn affect their offspring.
