Windhoek - The Angolan ambassador to Namibia, Manuel Alexandre Rodrigues "Kito", Wednesday in Windhoek, defended the principle of dialogue as a safe and certain path in resolving conflicts in Africa in particular and the world at large.
Manuel Alexandre Rodrigues "Kito" was addressing the ceremony of New Year's greetings presented by the diplomatic corps to the Namibian Head of State, Hifikepunye Pohamba, at his capacity of dean of ambassadors accredited to Angola’s southern neighbour and international organizations, as well as UN members.
The diplomat analysed the general activity in Namibia in 2011, stressing that the diplomatic corps witnessed how the Namibian government and people have won all their challenges.
He said the reason for the success of these challenges was the implementation of laws aimed at taking forward the national development and concerted efforts to enable the public to benefit from a greater number of Namibians.
Another factor pointed out by ambassador "Kito" was the implementation of capital projects of the government and job creation as part of the intervention programme, aimed at employment and economic growth.
The dean of the diplomatic corps said that they witnessed a national conferences, highlighting the education and agricultural investments.
Manuel Alexandre Rodrigues thanked the President, Government and people of Namibia for kindness, support, hospitality and friendship that have facilitated the work of the diplomatic corps and international organizations.
