Ho Chi Min - The vice-president, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, is expected today, Sunday, in Ho Chi Minh city, where he begins a five-day working visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
According to the official programme, Fernando da Piedade, who will visit Vietnam at the invitation of his local counterpart, Nguyen Tan Dung, will meet with the Vietnamese Head of State Truong Tan Sang, and Prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
He will lead the Angolan side at the official talks that will culminate with the signing of agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Fernando da Piedade will also make the inauguration of the Angolan embassy and preside over the opening of the business forum, which will be held under the theme "A New Business Partnership for development."
It is also foreseen the deposition of wreath on the "Monument to the Martyrs of War" and former President Ho Chi Min.
The delegation of vice-president should move to the province of Binh Phuoc to learn about the business operation of the branches of wood, rubber, nuts, livestock breeding, among other products.
In the province of Tien Giang, he is expected to visit a unit of agriculture, while in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, he will see a medicine factory and academy of agricultural sciences in Vietnam.
The cooperation relations between Angola and Vietnam began in October 1978 with the signing of the general agreement of economic, technical, scientific and cultural, on the basis of the principle of mutual respect, non-interference in internal affairs, equality and reciprocity of rights advantages.
The fifth and last session of the Joint Committee was held on 20-30 March of last year, in Luanda.
