Luanda – Angolan Ombudsman, Paulo Tjipilica, presented Friday in Luanda the Citizen's Guide, a tool designed to clarify the role played by Ombudsman in protection of the rights, freedom and guarantees of the citizens.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, held in Union of Angolan Writers (UEA) facilities, in Luanda, Paulo Tjipilica told the press that the Guide of the Citizen is currently written in Portuguese and vernacular "kimbundo" and "umbundo" languanges.
The official assured that the Guice of Citizen will also be translated into all national languages.
He also explained that the project was sponsored by the British Embassy in Angola, as part of cooperation in the justice sector and the friendship between the two countries.
The "Citizen's Guide" is an important tool for any individual who needs assistance of an Ombudsman.
The presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of British Embassyin Angola, United States, South Africa, Namibia, Norway, Germany, Ombudsman Office's staff, police officers and civil society.
