Luanda – The ruling MPLA party is preparing itself in order to participate and win the next elections in Angola.
This was said on Friday in Luanda by the president of MPLA, José Eduardo dos Santos, while addressing the opening ceremony of party’s 4th ordinary meeting of the central committee.
According to him, the party is getting ready because he believes that there are not anticipated victories.
The president said that MPLA has great challenges and it will demand to its members the spirit of sacrifice, unity of thought, action, skill and art of fulfilment.
He confirmed that MPLA has already defined its electoral strategy and the politburo will approve at the right time its budget and set up the central and local structures of campaign, logistics, political information and marketing.
The central committee of the ruling MPLA party is gathered in order to assess the document on the principles and criteria to be adopted and thus draft the list of candidates to the National Assembly in the next elections and governance programme for 2013/2017 period.
The meeting is being attended by 286 members of the central committee out of 311 ones and it will analyse the report of politburo of the ruling party, balance of 2011 programme and general plan project of the party for 2012.
