Angolan President invited to visit East Timor


Luanda – The Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos, was on Monday invited in Luanda by East Timor during a meeting with his Timorese counterpart, Ramos-Horta.


In a press conference, José Eduardo dos Santos said that through diplomatic means date may be set for his visit to east Timor.


“I accepted the invitation with much pleasure” said José Eduardo dos Santos.


In the framework of the official visit that the Timorese statesman is paying to Angola, accords were signed in the sectors of defence and social communication.


On his turn, Ramos-Horta said in a press conference that Angola always showed its solidarity to the Timorese cause, and thus he is very happy with the visit being paid to this African country.


The accord signed in the defence sector is aimed at modernising our armed forces of demobbing process”, among other fields.
