Territory Minister expected in Huíla

 

Lubango – The Minister of Territory Administration, Bornito de Sousa, will work on Thursday in Lubango city in Huíla province, where he will lead a regional meeting on the programme extension for the accommodation of the population victims of rains that hit southern region of the country.


According to a programme of the activities, which reached Angop on Wednesday in Lubango, the meeting will also discuss the situation of people affected by other natural calamities who were made homeless.


The meeting will be attended by the President’s secretary for social matters, Rosa Pacavira and co-ordinators of the civil protection deparments in the provinces of Benguela, Cunene, Namibe, Kuando Kubango and Huíla, as well as the director of Technical Office for Urban Reconstruction.


In Huíla province, 30.846 people were made homeless, following the rains that hit the region in the first quarter of 2011.
