SME denounces illegal immigration promoting network

 

Luanda – The national director of Migration and Foreign Services (SME), Freitas Neto, denounced on Wednesday in Luanda, the existence of a criminal network operating abroad, which has been helping foreign citizens to illegally enter the country.

 

Speaking in a press conference, the director said that there are structured networks in DR Congo, Congo Brazaville, Gambia and other Western African countries that promote illegal immigration to make money”.

 

Angop learnt that the holding of this press conference was aimed at presenting data on foreign citizens who arrested for entering the country illegally.

 

According to Freitas Neto, the immigrants enter the country by using boats from Mwanda (DRC), which serve as the logpoint.

 

Freitas Neto said that Angolan and Congolese authorities should be engaged in outlining mechanisms to fight against this structured criminal organisations.
