Secretary of State for Human Rights expected in Cunene

 

 


Luanda – The Secretary of State for Human Rights, António Bento Bembe, is going to pay a four-day working visit to the southern Cunene Province, from 6 to 10 September, aimed to check the situation of this region.

 

 


According to a press note from the State Department for Human Rights, António Bento Bembe’s visit is also aimed at assessing the imprisonment system in Cunene Province.

 

 


He will also visit local prisons and meet with the justice officials.

 

 


During his stay in that province, the Secretary of State for Human Rights will deliver a lecture at a workshop for the local schooling community, members of the provincial government, chieftains and representatives of churches, as well as members of the education strategy for a human rights culture in the country.
