Luanda – The Angolan secretary of State for Cooperation, Exalgina Gambôa, and the regional representative of the International Organisation of Migration (IOM), Joaquim Mariano, Wednesday in Luanda, analysed the partnership between the Government and that institution in the domain of migration.
Speaking at the end of the audience granted to him by the secretary of State, Joaquim Mariano told Angop the meeting also served for the parties to reiterate the need for Angola to ratify the new constitution of the organisation.
Joaquim Mariano who arrived in Luanda on Wednesday, said as well the visit is part of a regular contact for coordination of effort with the Angolan Government as a IOM member country.
The regional organisation’s representative explained that in order for the new constitution to come into force there is need for its ratification by at least two thirds of the member states.
While in the country, Joaquim Mariano will meet with local authorities to analyse projects underway in the sector.
