Lobito, – The deputy governor of Benguela province, Eliseu Epalanga praised Thursday the involvement of private sector in economic and social projects carried out in Lobito district.
According to the government official, who was speaking during the 97th anniversary of Lobito, the city has registered a fast growth result of several initiatives of entrepreneurs.
To the deputy governor, the projects designed by entrepreneurs, despite of promoting wealth generates jobs to hundreds of youths of the region.
Lobito, which gained city status on September 2, 1913, has presently a population estimated at 1.2 million inhabitants.
