Lobito – The second Commander of the South Naval Region, captain João Cunha, stated Wednesday in that city that efforts and sacrifice made during the preparation of patriotic education and combat are the guarantee of success in military operations.

According to the officer that spoke at the opening of the second round of combat preparation 2010/2011, the secret of success or victories in military theatre depends on the way soldiers prepare during time of peace.

Captain João Cunha stressed the role of the Navy in defence of interest of the state and populations, at the same time appealed to the effectives of the South Naval Region to be always prepared and updated on the reality of the country and the world.

The South Naval Region covers a space which starts in Longa river, Kwanza Sul Province, up to the mouth of Cunene river.

Its Headquarters are located in Lobito City, Benguela Province.
