Border Police arrest citizens for illegal crossing


Ondjiva,  –  About 12 national and foreign citizens less six than the previous  period were detained during the past seven days for attempted illegal border crossing between  Angola/Namibia.

 

The fact was advanced by the spokesman of Provincial Command of National Police in Cunene, superintendent, Carlos dos Santos adding that the detention is a result of six  violations occurred in the marks 5 and 19.

 

He underlined that from the group are citizens from Zambia, Mali and Gambia who after  registration were taken to Cunene service of migration for appropriate treatment.

 

Carlos dos Santos said also that the members of the border police removed in the district of  Ruacana three landmines of 81 and 60 mm.
