Luanda – Representatives of Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, US and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will present on Tuesday, in Luanda, subsidies for the landmines action planning in Angola.
The subsidies will be presented in the framework of the first National Summit of Action against Landmines in Angola.
The summit, which is happening since Monday in Luanda’s Belas Convention Centre, is being promoted by the National Inter-Sectorial Commission for Demining and Humanitarian Assistance (CNIDAH).
The works of the summit are being run by the chairman of CNIDAH, Santana André Pitra “Petroff”.
According to the co-ordinator of the Action Programme for Mines, Balbina Silva, she expects for a positive discussion in the meeting, so that the participants may exchange their ideas regarding the process.
According to her, the Angolan government is working hard.
She said that the Angolan government is the first funding agent of demining actions.
