Luanda - Angola wants an orthographic agreement within Portuguese-speaking Countries Community (CPLP) that does not clash with country's culture, habits and customs, said the former Angolan adviser of the organisation, Jovelina Imperial.
Jovelina Imperial, who is also Luanda vice-governor for social sphere, noted that before adopting such an agreement, Angola still have to better and analyse deeply whether it should put it in use.
According to the official, the orthographic accord is almost a difficult situation, although it has been discussed and approved by various States, there are still problems in its implementation.
She stressed that the agreement has to do with what is the goals and traditions of each member State. Angola wants an orthographic agreement within organisation which does not clash any way with the country's culture.
“The orthographic agreement has many benefits because the language no longer restrict to Lusophone standard but adopts the linguistic initiatives of the member States", added the official.
In her view, the accord serves to speed up the language itself, but it should be adopted on due time.
