Expatriate workers must work on equal terms with nationals

Luanda – The juridical adviser of the President of the Republic, Florbela de Jesus Araújo, Thursday in Luanda defended that expatriated workers must work on equal terms with their national colleagues, with a view to a greater institutional efficiency, in the co-operation, Angop has learnt.

Florbela Araújo, who was speaking on the fringes of the II conference on “Law with force”,
said there has been much demoralisation in certain institutions, due to differences of salaries between locals and expatriates.

She recalled that the law sets rules on contract of foreign workforce and the mechanism of
equal treatment of national and expatriate workers with equal professional skills.

The meeting debated themes related to the repatriation of personnel, contribution of expatriate workers, mobility within the national territory and other issues.
