Ambassador to UN praises angolan woman role

New York – Angolan ambassador to the United Nations, Ismael Martins, on tuesday praised the contribution of angolan woman during the liberation struggle for the country's independence in Nov 11, 1975.   

 

At a ceremony marking the angolan woman day (March 2), ambassador Martins stated that women played a decisive role for the country's independence, making Angola one of the country's with greater gender promotion.

 

The ceremony was attended by an angolan delegation to the 54th session of the UN commission on the status of woman chaired by the deputy minister of family and woman promotion, Paula do Sacramento Neto.
