Luanda - A high rank delegation from the chinese defense ministry arrived wednesday on a four day official visit to identify possible fields of cooperation with the angolan government.
Headed by the director for Africa and Middle East in the division of international relations and cooperation at the chinese defense ministry, colonel Hua Bo, the mission was welcomed by admiral André Mendes de Carvalho "Miau", national director for external relations in the angolan defense ministry.
Admiral Carvalho epitomized the military cooperation between the two countries in training of angolan officers, lethal and non-lethal material supply and advising, stating that the talks will focus in the exchange of experience and the organization and functioning of the defense ministries of both countries.
The admiral stressed that the visit takes place at the request of the chinese officials due to "the dynamics of relations" between the two countries in the area of defense and made it clear that angolan officials will be receptive if it is the willingness of the chinese government to cooperate in other areas and understand Angola's role in the pacification in southern Africa and the whole continent.
