Luanda – The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, Wednesday here swore in the newly appointed government officials and aides.
The ceremony took place in the Noble Hall of the Presidential Palace, in Luanda.
Among other officials, the Angolan President invested Maria Idalina de Oliveira Valente in the post of minister of Trade, Pedro Mutinde in the post of minister of Hotels and Tourism, and José Mateus de Adelino Peixoto as secretary-general of the Presidential Support Services.
Also took oath in the same ceremony Aldemiro Justino de Aguiar Vaz da Conceição for assuming the post of director of the Office for Cadres of the President’s Support Services, Antónia Florbela de Jesus Rocha Araújo, as secretary for Judicial and Juridical Matters of the President, and André Rodrigues Mingas Júnior, the secretary for Local Matters.
José Manuel Feio Mena Abrantes took the oath as the President’s secretary for Institutional Communication and Press Matters, Francisco Manuel Monteiro Queiroz, as secretary for Political and Constitutional Matters, Rosa Escórcio Pacavira de Matos, secretary for Social Matters, and Carlos Alberto Saraiva de Carvalho Fonseca, secretary for Diplomatic and Co-operation Matters.
In the end of the ceremony, José Eduardo dos Santos wished the newly sworn-in officials good work and requested their collaboration for a successful implementation of the programme of his executive.
