Huambo - The governor of the central Huambo province, Faustino Muteka, on Wednesday here highlighted the importance of the Constitution, considering it has the principles of share of values and norms that favour national unity and spurs state and society development, Angop has learnt.
Speaking at the end of the session of constitution divulgation, chaired by MP Rui Falcão, Governor Faustino Muteka acknowledged that the elaboration of the new constitution for the country fits to Angola's reality, following the advances in social, political and economic domains.
"Life is dynamic and when time passes we need to adapt to the moment many things with regard to this. I mean that if in the first republic the constitution met the reality of that epoch, currently the scenery is different, the country has grown and it is intended to raise this level at all domains", he said.
The Governor also expressed rejoiced with the fact that the process of elaboration and approval of the new constitution had been led in a honest and democratic way.
Faustino Muteka also considers that the approval, in February, of the constitution, marks definitively, the process of constitutional transition started in 1991.
