Government effort to improve workers', inmates' condition praised

Luanda – The Angolan Interior minister, Roberto Leal Monteiro "Ngongo",  Friday in Luanda, praised the Government’s effort to create the best working conditions for  prison workers and accommodation for inmates.

In a note of praise for the 31st anniversary of the Prison Services, on March 20, the minister  says the institutional engagement of the Government guarantees  the safeguard of the professional purposes.

He spoke of the need for investment in techno-professional training of the staff, in order to safeguard the elevation of their academic levels.

On the other hand, the minister appealed to the Prison Services personnel to respect the  citizens under their responsibility, always following a serious conduct and earning the respect  of the society.

"The recovery of the man in conflict with the law is a hard task that requires altruism and  mutual aid”, “Ngongo” said.

He also considered as necessary the cooperation with the organisations of the civil society that  deal in issues of social reintegration.
