Luanda – The National Defence minister, Cândido Pereira dos Santos Van-Dúnem, assessed on Saturday the development level of the construction works of “Aleluia” residential project in Funda locality, in Luanda.

Funded by the Angolan Armed Forces Pension Scheme, the works under this project are being executed in the ambit of the efforts of the Ministry of National Defence to improve the social conditions of the active and retired military people.

At least 237 houses will be built in the ambit of this residential project.

Cândido Van-Dúnem also expressed his satisfaction at how the beneficiaries of the Angolan Armed Forces Pension Scheme, contractors and inspection entities have been carrying out this work in accordance with the agreed parameters.

The works of this project started in February 2009 and the first 40 houses will be handed over in June 2010.
