Luanda – Angoa seeks to maintain an ongoing dialogue with China aimed at strenghtening bilateral relations, the angolan secretary of state for cooperation stated today.

 
Speaking at a meeting with a visiting chinese delegation from the advisory committee on external policy in the ministry of foreign affairs, Exalgina Gamboa considered China as one of Angola's major and best partners stressing the willingness of angolan officials to maintain a meaningful dialogue with China in the framework of the prevailing good relations.  
 

Th head of the chinese delegation, Jin Peiding, highlighted the progress reached by Angola since he last visited the country in 2006 bearing a letter of president Jiang Zemin to angolan counterpart, José Eduardo dos Santos.

He added that his current visit is aimed at exchanging ideas to outline strategies for the strenghtening of relations with Angola, in particular and the whole continent in general pointing out the consolidation of the angolan domestic policy and the rapid economic development in the last ten years. 

He also emphasized the angolan growing influence in regional and international affairs stating that the visit also aims to promote and potentiate economic and trade relations between China and its major trade partner in Africa.

 
Jin Peiding recalled that the last president dos Santos visit to China boosted the bilateral relations.

In 2009, China imported 30 million tonnes of crude oil from Angola and chinese investments in Angola are growing, according to the chinese official who is accompanied by a group of businessmen.
