Luena – The minister of Territory Administration (MAT), Bornito de Sousa, on Wednesday in Luena District, eastern Moxico Province, said that his department will create a diploma to set up models to manage local financial resources, which will be released to the provincial governments and district administrations.
The minister said so to the press at the end of a four-hour work visit he carried out to Moxico Province, which among other things aimed to learn about the measures taken by the Provincial Civil Protection Commission, so as to prevent possible floods, having into account the rains that have been hitting this region.
According to him, the diploma will be part of the organic law of the local administrations to be approved soon, in which issues related to financial decentralisation will also be analysed.
The government official said that with the referred diploma, it is intended to create norms of good governance by public institutions’ managers, in order to provide useful services that might improve the living conditions of the populations.
