Luanda – The former senior official of the US State Department for Africa Policy, Erick Silla, ended on Friday his one-week visit to the country.
The visit of the US senior official was intended to identify and check the implementation state of the projects funded by his government in Angola.
Speaking to the press at Luanda’s “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport, the official reaffirmed that Angola is a very important country in the development of the strategy of bilateral co-operation between the United State of America and Angola.
According to him, the main objective of his government is to contribute to the development of Angola and other African countries, as partnership and the bilateral co-operation are important points in the US co-operation’s foreign policy towards Africa.
Angola and US have good bilateral co-operation in the fields of defence and security, education, health, agriculture, demining, energy and other areas.
