Luanda - The speaker of the National Assembly, António Paulo Kassoma, on Friday here defended the need for earmarking projects and programmes that develop more and more the skills, capacities and competence of women, Angop has learnt.
In his opinion, these actions enable a more solid and effective insertion of woman in the country's development, by eliminating progressively, "the female face of poverty".
António Paulo Kassoma said so while speaking at the opening ceremony of a round-table under the theme ‘’Parliaments Role towards the Respect of Women Rights, 15 Years After Beijing", organised to salute the International Woman’s Day, March 08.
In Allusion to the recommendations of the Network of Parliamentary Women to the Portuguese-speaking Countries Community (CPLP), among them demand creation of conditions to strengthening woman role in the development process, providing more financing
of programmes of promotion, training and development to guarantee gender equality.
For accomplishment of this goal, it is important the establishment of policies of education, culture and woman access to economic resources and to media organs, António Paulo Kassoma said.
